"I was delighted with the cakes you made for my two son's birthdays. Both had quite clear ideas about what they wanted (a penguin palace and a cave man scene)! Even though you asked lots of questions about the boys' ideas, I was concerned it would be difficult to translate their dream cakes into reality without a clearer description.

When you dropped the cakes off though, we were absolutely thrilled, they both said the cakes were "even better" than they had imagined - and thats good going given the imaginations of two eight year old boys!

The ultimate test came though when we ate the cakes - my husband bakes really nice cakes but decoration isn't his forte. He was complaining that "bought in" birthday cakes never tasted nice but when we ate them - they were delicious! Even the wonderful edible decorations tasted really creamy and buttery (although we will never taste the penguins on the penguin palace as my son has parceled one up lovingly and sent it home with Nanny and he has lined the rest up on the windowsill as ornaments and refuses to let me move them )!
